I've been busy with school, the first art history II test last week. It went okay. Either way, just been keeping at the art lately. I've been experimenting a lot with photoshop, along with the assignments from class.  Currently I'm preparing to apply for this award from my college for 500$. I have to write up a project proposal and a budget. If I get the award I will be doing my first real experimenting with sculpture/ 3-D design.  Even if I don't get the award, I'll still follow through with my ideas, after all I've had the idea since high school, now I may have the resources and time to explore and create. Hello, Last night I got to upload the pictures from my fall leaf project.  My professor assigned us to something with the fall leaves, anything he said.  After hearing other people's ideas, I thought I would do something a little more crafty, so I decided to make a lampshade.  First I tried extracting the leaves color pigments with alcohol and a printing press, but that didn't work. Instead I suspended the leaves between layers of handmade paper, and wrapped that around the wire-frame of the lamp shade. This actually worked out nicer, because it kept the true fall colors. Also, the light passing through the leaves has a very interesting look

Morgan here, I'm a graphic design student at the University of Tulsa, in Tulsa Oklahoma. I like art across all media, especially traditional art (as a hobby) and graphic design (which appeals to my pragmatism).  Anyway, made my first postings. They were only sketchpages from my fall sketch book, but they are the ones I feel were my best.  I also included pages with my self portrait ideas and an experiment with prismacolor markers. I'll admit, they aren't really anything special, just thought I should put them out to be seen. Enjoy.
